Blade selection should be based on the material's hardness, cutting speed, and desired finish. For fast and aggressive cutting of thick or soft materials, use coarse toothed 14 tpi blades. For smooth cuts in thin or hard materials, opt for fine-toothed 24 tpi blades. Wide blades are ideal for straight cuts, while narrow blades are best for curves.

Different blade widths allow for cutting various minimum radii: 0.062” wide for a minimum 3/32” radius, 0.138” wide for a 3/8” radius, 0.180” wide for a 3/4” radius, and 0.250” wide for a 1-inch radius.
