On the other hand, for smooth cuts in thin or hard materials, fine-toothed 24 tpi blades are ideal. Wide blades are suitable for straight cuts, while narrow blades are better for curves. For example, a 0.062” wide blade can cut a minimum radius of 3/32”, while a 0.138” wide blade can cut a 3/8” radius, a 0.180” wide blade can cut a ¾” radius, and a 0.250” wide blade can cut a 1 inch radius.
